I put together this mix to signal the end of Summer, which here in the Bay Area pretty much means nothing. We probably only had a handful of days that you could classify as “Summer,” and by most other people’s accounts, even that would be a stretch. Anyways, here are some tracks that in some way embody Summer coming to a close. And like my Summer mix Express Yourself, there’s a lot of different styles here. Hope you enjoy it.

Hey,
This is really cool! Nice work on the compilation and the artwork!
I was just wondering what kind of agreement you have with the music artists to provide their songs for download (not accusing you of any wrong doing, I just wouldn’t feel right listening to it if they hadn’t agreed and I couldn’t find much info about it on the about page).
People have been passing out mixtapes for decades. There are a million other blogs doing it. Not saying that it makes it right, there definitely is a bit of a grey area. But I share music out of love and respect for the artists, and if the listener likes what they hear then they should go out and support them. There’s also a disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
You should definitely take a listen. There may be something you really like.
Yeah, I wasn’t sure about the footer disclaimer… if you had their permission to distribute they would still hold copyright so it didn’t really answer my question.
True about the mixtapes. I get the impression it was illegal in the days of cassettes too, as was recording from the TV to VHS. No one really mentioned it for decades though. Now it’s a bit of a hot topic I guess.
Nice work. Quality & class as usual.
Keep on keeping on…
